Johor, a state located in the South of peninsular Malaysia, is one of the state which highly contributed to the development of Malaysia. It consists of two economic corridors; Iskandar Regional Development and East Coast Economic Region. Johor pursue to emerge as an economic center in the region with a sustainable, dynamic and comprehensive development strategies.

Pada tahun 2021, ekonomi Johor mencatatkan pertumbuhan  Keluaran Dalam Negara Kasar (KDNK) sebanyak RM 131.0 bilion. Negeri Johor merupakan penerima tertinggi pelaburan yang diluluskan bagi  projek perkilangan (pembuatan)  bagi tempoh tahun 2013 sehingga 2021 di Malaysia dengan jumlah sebanyak RM 156.48 bilion. Selain dari nilai pelaburan menggalakkan di kawasan pembangunan koridor, penerimaan pelaburan yang memberangsangkan ini juga banyak disumbangkan oleh pembangunan utama di seluruh negeri Johor antaranya pembangunan Hab Minyak dan Gas di Kompleks Petroleum Bersepadu Pengerang (PIPC).

Johor location which is a main trade route and a hub for international trade assisted by systematic logistics network, become a base for the economic growth. Taking into account the three main ports; Tanjung Pelepas, Tanjung Langsta and Johor Port became a comprehensive focus for industry network in petrochemicals, engineering, telecommunications, electrical and food processing. These ports provide a good network for commercial centers and industries throughout Malaysia and regional countries. This has been supported by a solid infrastructure in road and railway networking

In addition, Senai International Airport providing a world class infrastructure with a comprehensive package of flights, cargo, logistics and passengers facilities.

Manakala tenaga kerja Johor adalah berjumlah 1.83 juta daripada jumlah populasi Johor seramai 4.02 juta orang atau 70% dalam perspektif kadar penyertaan tenaga buruh pada tahun 2021.

All these key factors making Johor a preferred destination for domestic and foreign investors and facilitate the achievement of a maximum potential in economic growth in line with embodiment Johor's Vision of " Negeri Berprestasi Tinggi,Bangsa Johor Bestari ".

• KDNK Johor pada tahun 2021 mencatatkan nilai RM 131 bilion iaitu menyumbang kepada 7.7% kepada KDNK nasional.
• Sektor pembuatan dan perkhidmatan mendominasi struktur ekonomi masing-masing dengan nilai KDNK RM 40.7 bilion (31.1%) dan RM 68 bilion (51.9%).
